Beauty Review: Blush + Blow Salon, Chelsea

Bridget O’Keefe, the founder of Chelsea’s new Blush + Blow salon, is a dear friend of mine for many years. So, when I tell you she knows her shit in the beauty industry…you can trust that I mean it. A qualified Make Up Artist, Bridget opened her own salon last year in Chelsea’s New Kings Road and, obviously, I popped by for some beauty pampering.

Nothing beats that feeling of strolling out the hairdressers with big bouncy styled hair. You know the feeling girls…like you can take on anything. Bus is late? Who cares! The boy stands you up…whatever. Your hair is fabulous. You are fabulous. Heck, even your shoes are fabulous. To get that feeling minus the cut and colour, all you need is a blow dry. That’s where Blush + Blow comes in.

You can opt for just the one-off blow dry, or, pay for 5 or even unlimited blow dries, which always helps in case you’re caught out with a last minute event. But it’s not just the ol’ bonce that gets a make-over here. You can have facials, threading, tinting, waxing, semi-permanent eyelashes, spray tan, manicures, pedicures…even massages AND make-overs. Phew! Oh, and if all that wasn’t enough, she does Bridal makeup too. Because why not.

I went for a bouncy blow dry and a Gel polish manicure…and I left feeling like a fricking Goddess. The staff are so friendly, accommodating (I accidentally arrived 20 minutes late and it wasn’t an issue) and the whole atmosphere of the venue is super relaxed. You can literally go in and chill the hell out. Can I just add, the interior design is superb. Even the toilet is bloody beautiful. I’ve never wanted a toilet as much as I want this one. Once you check it out, you’ll totally get what I mean! Just look at it would ya…

Having already appeared in Tatler Hair Guide, Evening Standard, Harper’s Bazaar and Fulham Journal, this salon is going to explode in 2017. Book yourself in now for some high class pampering with a price tag that suits the purse strings.
