How to prepare for a date when you’re nervous

Have you ever felt nervous and overwhelmed on the eve before an important or exciting date? You could be nervous because you are just jumping back into the dating world. This can often be a daunting experience. Or, it’s possible that you are desperate for it to go well which is putting your nerves on edge. Regardless of the situation, there are steps that you can take to calm your nerves and ensure that you do make the right first impression with the right level of confidence. Focus on what you love

Everyone has an area of themselves that empowers them with more confidence. This could be your eyes, your hair or a certain part of your body. Once you find this area, then it’s important to focus on it when you are getting ready for your date. Choose a new outfit that shows off that element of your figure. Or, if it’s your nails use acetone to get rid of old nail varnish and dress them up so that they look amazing. The little details can do wonders to your levels of confidence. 

Have a killer getting ready routine

Going on a date should be fun, so make it so. Get ready in a way that makes you feel good about yourself. Put on some music, do a little self care and dance around. Choose your favourite clothes and give yourself some TLC. I promise it’ll help.

Have an early tipple

We’re in no way suggesting that you get drunk before your date. However, there’s no harm in having one before the date begins. This is a great way to loosen your nerves and ensure that you feel more relaxed. Or, if you want the healthier option, try meditating or even have a play. Plan different exits 

Finally, it’s possible that you’re nervous about the date because you’re worried it’s going to go badly.
