Following the series of small collection drops through the season, KENZO marks its 4th release under the Parisian house’s FW22 galore by new Creative Director NIGO. The latest release highlights Western influences and souvenir embroideries throughout, including the bold, floral Hana Dots print spotted from the January runway. A collection rooted in classic, school-like tailoring, it heavily focuses on fitted knitwear, high necklines, and miniskirts. Venturing away from classic streetwear with Western shirts, embroidered varsity jackets and silk pouches, Nigo explores KENZO’s roots in both Japanese and Parisian culture, highlighting the unique Asian heritage influence and European fashion that has shaped KENZO’s DNA.
Titled ‘EAST MEETS WEST,’ the latest release puts forth Western influences and souvenir embroideries. Revealing this conversation are pieces like satin bomber jackets with embroidered details, biker jackets, western-inspired shirts, kimono wrap tops, simple cargo pants and more. The collection also included is the focal Hana Dots print that is seen across coordinating sets, cardigans, and denim – appearing in shades of olive green, navy blue, and sky blue. Elsewhere in the collection are a selection of tailored and puffer coats, hoodies, and souvenir-style bags.
URBAN UNIFORMS DROP 4 by Kenzo’s FW22 is now available in stores in Singapore and across Asia.
