Woke, inclusive and down right fabulous are only some of the things we can say about the Pam Hogg AW18 show at Fashion Scout this season. The theme was all about expressing yourself, whoever you choose to be and embracing your quirks and differences. With strong themes supporting empowered goddesses as well as the LGBT community, it wasn’t just about the amazing clothes (although there were loads of those too).
As one of the highlights of the entire season, the show was absolutely packed leaving a long queue of disappointed faces out in the cold, proving what a hot ticket Pam Hogg is nowadays.
The full to the brim room was treated to a parade of vivid colours, sheer fabrics and PVC. Checks are clearly still big news for next season and we’ll most certainly be investing in a pleather trench coat.
Mesh and feathers will continue to be big wardrobe staples which makes us rather happy as well. The stand out pieces were the sheer black bodysuit with oversized pom pom detailing as well as the baby blue ruffled tulle coat. Certified showstoppers. The main message we took from the show made us think of the lyrics from the stand out song from The Greatest Showman: ‘I’m not scared to be seen, I make no apologies, this is me’. Embrace it.
