LOEWE launches latest collection: Paula’s Ibiza 2020

LOEWE’s latest collection with the legendary Ibiza boutique Paula’s sees the collaboration evolve to form its own standalone collection of Men’s and Women’s ready-to-wear and accessories that fuses bohemian coastal dressing with playful prints. LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza 2020 captures the breezy spirit of the Balearics and celebrates a moment in time that saw the hedonism of these islands expand to influence subcultures across the world.

Embodying the spirit of letting go, the Summer 2020 collection see the ready-to-wear in a spectrum of colours that range from scarlet to midnight blue, earth tones of faded olive green and sunrise orange, to acid-inflected neon. Drawing upon iconic prints from Paula’s archive inspired by the natural world, the collection features prints frolicking mermaids and wandering jikin goldfish amongst waterlilies. The fourth collection continues to explore the tropes of leisurewear while contrasting classic summer staples such as soft terry tees with reflective silver trousers.

The swarming of print carries on in the accessories as well, and they are taken on a journey around the world to be transformed by communities of artisans using specialist handcraft techniques and natural-occurring materials. In tune with the nautical themes of Paula’s Ibiza, the iconic LOEWE Puzzle, Tote, Cushions, Pouches and Bumbags feature splashes of the archival mermaid and waterlily prints.

To ensure a better future for children in socially vulnerable groups affected by COVID-19, LOEWE will be donating 40 euros to educational projects for every product sold in the Paula’s Ibiza collection between May and August 2020 in LOEWE stores and on loewe.com, starting with an initial donation of 500,000 euros.

At the same time, in order to give effective help to the institutions which are on the frontline in fighting the pandemic, LOEWE is donating 100,000 surgical masks to the Spanish Red Cross. LOEWE is also aware that protection aids are of extreme importance to contain the pandemic, and is producing non-surgical masks in its Getafe factory to be distributed to volunteer workers, LOEWE employees and their families.
