A couple of Wednesday’s ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of Stephanie Pratt’s debut clothing line – ‘French Kiss’, with fashion brand, Goddiva.
I’d had an Instastalk at some of the dresses already, and oh my god, they were BEAUT. As those who know me will have seen from my recent holiday photos, I struggle to wear anything that isn’t black, even in 36 degree heat. So when I saw black lace, mesh and bodycon I was already full-on fangirling.
This one…. I mean 😍

OOF.
So, back to the event. Held at DSTRKT nightclub, bloggers, friends, stylists and MiC cast flocked to the venue. Steph looked uh-mazing in a mermaid gown, which I honestly swear was made from dreams and rainbows. I only wish I’d had a spray-tan before standing next to her.

So let’s talk about the collection itself. If you’ve not come across Goddiva before, they’re known for their occasion wear, much of which you’ve probably seen Steph wearing in the press. So it was a natural next step for her to team up with the brand to produce her own line.
Very much a collection of two halves, the pieces can be split into romantic pastels, pale greys and nudes, then sultry deep navy’s, golds and, my favourites – blacks. For me, the lace, open-back designs were stand-out. Modest and revealing in all the right places, they’re sophisticated, well-tailored and extremely flattering.
I also loved the use of illusion mesh, in particular the full length black gown with mesh upper body and back. It’s also available with nude-hued mesh, which so I’m told, literally looks like skin even though you’re covered almost head-to-toe. If anyone buys this, please let me know how it looks!
As glamourous as I’m sure ALLL you S&LC readers are, life for most of us doesn’t include weekly red carpets. And aside from playing dress-up with a bottle of wine, I’ll only get out a nice floor-length number saaaay, once or twice a year? At a push? So I’m really glad to see they’ve also produced shorter versions of some of the full-length pieces for city evening wear.
One more thing before we give you a preview – I think it’s important to note that Steph studied at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and was involved from conception, fabric selection, design and sketching, right through to the fine-detailing, so this really is her own collection. Big kudos in my books.
The first pieces of the French Kiss 40 piece collection will available to buy exclusively at www.goddiva.co.uk from the 1st March 2017, with more pieces being released in batches. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect….
