Sex & London City was re-branded last month from a pink cutesy blog into a oh-so-serious online magazine and to celebrate my baby all grown up, I threw a party for the relaunch. We know I love a party! Co hosted with My New Best Friends Management and in association with Ann Summers and Dr Lipp, the bash was coined the ‘Intimate Affair’ and aptly held on Valentines Day at my favourite joint in central; The Wellington Club, Knightsbridge.
Guests arrived to welcome drinks, free entry and endured a projector onto the walls of The Welly with my fugly face on it! We had American popstar Kady Z come over and join us for the night; we even played her new track for the first time in the UK that night! The press section included Dr Lipp – the original nipple balm for lips who were running a ‘Blow Me a Kiss’ competition and Billion Dollar Smile. Papping away was the official event photographer from Way Ahead Photography. I had 5 beautiful models there for me too, who were wearing corsets from Blue Lush Lingerie and dresses from Jones + Jones. The resident Welly DJ played some bangin’ tunes and paused to hand me a mic so I could do my usual tipsy speech to thank everyone who has made Sex & London City the success it has grown to be today; I’m not gushing but it’s definitely been an amazing feeling having so many fantastic people in my life who supported me from when I was just a start out blogger to what it is now! Btw with reference to my speeches; they’re gonna happen at every event and I’m sure I made no sense, you just gotta roll with it okkkkkkkk!
Lingerie giant Ann Summers sponsored the goody bags and all my guests left with a golden bullet, bubblegum lube and a billion dollar smile teeth whitening pen along with some facial products too. Guests included the gorgeous Made in Chelsea star and model Agne Motiejunaite, Take Me Out’s pink princess Dannika Daisy Jeffrey, Kady Z, International male model Jed Texas, Melissa Shoes and many many other amazing people – I wish I could list everyone but I got more work to do right now, damn work. So I’ll just cut to the special thank yous: Christian and Phil from The Welly, who put up with my ramblings both sober and drunk and who, without, the event would never have been so successful, The make-up artists and hair girlies Carla and Georgia, Karena Sedgwick (the other side of the same shit coin), Luke Yates, Kady Z, Brad Taylor, Mey Ali, Diva, Pontine & Jen from Dr Lipp and Jonathan Coupland from CleverInk and a special bit-weird-but-we’ll-roll-with-it thank you to Nick, Dannika and Jed – who made the ending of my evening rather eventful and fun! It was a Valentines night to remember 🙂
