What real customised style actually looks like

Let’s be honest, most of us think we have our own style right? We’d like to think that we can’t be replicated, we can’t be manufactured and no one else can pull it off quite like us. Everyone is guilty of that line of thinking, including the person writing this. We all want to be seen as someone who is bold, able to set trends, and doesn’t care about the backlash of some of our style choices. And yet, many of us fail to meet our own expectations. We’re not as stylish as we would like to be and it’s because we don’t really customise our lives. We mix and match, which is not the same thing. You can call it personalising but we cannot say it’s truly customising. So here are some great ways to break free of the mould.

Customised jewellery

By far the most obvious way to beef up your style is with jewellery. it’s going to stand out the most because it shines and can go with just about any kind of outfit. We don’t think there’s any foutif that wouldn’t go well with a necklace, bracelet or some kind of earrings or chain. It’s not that difficult to customise your jewellery either. Thanks to the big breakout of customisation options in the precious metals and precious stones markets, there has been an explosion in customers wanting to create their own pieces.

Boutique shops offer this kind of service the most, as they have small shops which specialise in unique jewellery creation. It’s a very simple process.

  • You approach the jeweller with your own unique design. They will let you know if it’s feasible. The reason for this is, you can create a very thin ring but it’s it’s not structurally strong enough to survive a knock on a door frame then it’s not going to be a viable jewellery piece.
  • They will ask about your choice of metal, stones and other materials such as jade or titanium.
  • Then they will refine your design. This means they will make structural designs and give you an estimate of the ring’s strength, maintenance concerns and things such as price, weight, reaction to hot and cold environments.
  • You choose the right design, materials and other features such as etching, then you can go onto the next step.
  • The jeweller will make the ring, updating you on it’s progress with photos and then, ask you to collect it when it’s ready.

Custom plates

If you drive around London a lot, you will have noticed the sheer amount of customised plates on super sublime cars. They have been made by specific producers that charge a bit of a fortune. They have been registered which means all the annoying complex paperwork is done for you. Using DVLA Number Plates you can find a customised plate already in use but it can be transferred over to you and your vehicle. Imagine driving down a London street in the city centre with your very own plate, with a custom name or word of your choice. If you want to, you can fit it to a car you already own which is probably what you will be doing. Just be sure to decommission the plate you’re already using so there is no chance of being a victim of fraud.

Trainer design

One of the best ways to customise your outfit is to take a look at the options for creating custom shoes. These days it’s the thing to do. You’re not stylish if you don’t have some kind of snazzy trainer. It’s something that has made its way over the Atlantic ocean as the sneaker collection fad comes from America. Trainers as they are known here, are able to be customised with precious stones, different materials, different colours and more. In fact you can pretty much get them tailor made. Jimmy Choos is best known for making some premium sneakers and they offer a customisable service where they bring your design to life. Take a look at it if you like to dress casually, such as joggers, leggings, and perhaps you want to add to your urban style.

These are the most popular customisable items on the market. Being able to wear a fully customised necklace or ring is something only kings and queens could dream of. Now anyone can get their own unique design made. Take a look at custom plates and trainers to add in some modern flair to your outfits and look.
