Rimmel London and Glam Media UK collaborated this London Fashion Week and decided to create four ‘get the look’ videos. These short films teach the viewer exactly how to emulate the leading beauty trends straight from the catwalk.
As a trained MUA, I was delighted to accept the role when Glam approached me and asked me if I wanted to work on this project…if not a little apprehensive about doing make-overs and speaking into a camera! The tricky part was remembering all the names of the products, such as the ‘Black Cab’ union jack stylized 5 in 1 eye-shadow palette!
Luckily, the evening went amazingly well. Plus, it was actually lots of fun! The London Beauty Queen blogger came to be filmed as the presenter of the ‘get the look’ videos and did a wonderful job at pronouncing all the bizarre designer names! The film crew were such a laugh and wicked at their jobs, as was my model Elizabeth Croft…we had a blast while using the energy to get these videos professional with a creative vibe. Not to mention the cheeky pizza delivery that kept the energy levels up to last through the evening! Fingers crossed the videos come out superb after the final edit, and I will of course post them on here once they’ve gone live on the Rimmel London & Glam websites!
The looks I was requested to re-create for the viewers (from LFW S/S ’12) were:
House of Holland – Defined Liner Eyes
Ashish – Big bold Lips
Antonio Beraldi – Natural Dewy Complexion
Sass & Bide – Masculine Eye brows and accentuated Cheekbones
To keep you entertained for now, here’s some sneaky behind-the-scenes photos of the film night:
