Over the last few months I have been trailing all things natural when it comes to facial skincare. If you look at the ingredients of your current skincare products, how many of the words can you actually pronounce? Marketing these days is clever and brands such as Simple, really aren’t that simple.
I wanted to simplify my beauty routine with less chemicals to see if it made a difference to the overall appearance of my skin…
Botanicals Radiance Serum with grape and avocado £25.95 30ml
Botanicals are an award winning company who represent the pure power of plants, using the most high performance ingredients available in nature. Not only are their products beautifully packaged but they are all organic and totally natural. I was excited to try this facial serum after reading about its revitalising effects for a more youthful complexion. Even though this serum is rich in precious oils, I was surprised at how non-greasy it felt once applied to the skin. It’s spa like smell helps me to unwind after a long day at work. It’s rich in avocado which is known as ‘nature’s botox’. Studies have proved that avocado increases the collagen in the skin. I can really feel the difference if I’ve forgot to use it the night before and I’m looking forward to ordering more from the radiance range.
Elegance natural skincare moisturizers £9.70 – £24.95 75g
I’ve been on the hunt for a moisturiser which is rich enough for my dry skin, without being too heavy and greasy for under make up. These creams not only smell great but they are formulated from a blend of the finest quality ingredients and work great for skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and rosacea. Although I enjoyed all three creams, my favourite is the Manuka Honey! Manuka is an active type of honey which comes from the maunka berry bush that originates from New Zealand. It’s one of the purest honeys and its antibacterial healing properties are well known and used throughout the medical profession. Its luxurious and non-greasy formula leaves my skin feeling radiant and soft. If you suffer with extremely dry skin, I would suggest the Goat’s Milk cream which is super rich and nourishing.
Alva Rhassoul Mineral Cleanser 150ml £11.95 & Active Cream 75ml £12.80
Even though I have relatively good skin, last month I had a few breakouts. Probably a mixture of poor diet and stress but I wanted them gone! Typically, anti blemish products are full of nasty ingredients and acids. I was having a look into Alva skincare, when the Rhassoul range caught my eye. Rhassoul is therapeutic skincare for problematic and acne prone skin. Suitable for all skin types, it’s also great for people who live in built up polluted environments as well as frequent make up wearers, as it helps to stimulate the skin’s self-cleaning and healing powers. I’ve been trailing the Mineral Cleanser and Active Cream and they have really cleared up the blemishes while also improving the texture of my skin. The smell is very medicinal and took some getting used to but it was worth it!
Totally Natural Skincare Luxurious Rejuvenating Facial Serum £4.95 10ml and Jasmine Anti-Ageing Cream £8.50 30ml
The facial serum is a blend of rich oils with a base of argan, vitamin E, rosehip seed, evening primrose and sweet almond oils. It can be used before moisturising to give the skin cells extra hydration. It’s very different in that you apply it with the roller ball which applies the product into the deeper layers of the skin. I’ve been enjoying it alongside the Jasmine Anti-Ageing cream which is high in collagen and antioxidants. A great brand for natural on a budget!
After a lot of researching, I came across an up and coming natural skincare brand which I was so excited to try! I’ve been trailing two of their ranges for the last three weeks and they are by FAR some of the best products I’ve used in a very long time! Complete game changers and yes, this is a huge teaser but you can expect a FULL brand review within the next few weeks. See you then!
