If I rewind back to 2011 and someone told me, that not only would I own a multi-award winning blog in the U.K – but I would be bringing that brand to Singapore where I now live….I’d have told that person to have another tequila and sod off.
But come 2019 all of the above just happened and I think I’m now the one who needs a tequila. Or a prosecco, natch.
WTF is S&SC? Good question. Let me quickly summarise for you:

Coined London’s answer to Carrie Bradshaw by the national press, Nixalina is famed for her informative beauty, on trend fashion, leading lifestyle and honest dating articles – which she now brings to the shores of Singapore.
On 8th October 2019 I got to host my very own private media party to celebrate my lil’ blog expanding to international shores – and as always, I expected only myself, my partner, Mel & B (obviously), Janice and perhaps…if I was lucky…one or two more people to show up. However, the reality of the turnout was so overwhelming. Put it this way, I ran out of my 50 gift bags. I also went way over my alcohol budget but YOLO!
The party was one of the most epic nights I’ve had here in Singapore – because of everyone who came to show support, network and have a generally awesome time. The whole vibe was so positive, so empowering and the crowd was full of talented female boss babes that I got a little choked. So much talent in one room! What’s more, these people I’ve only known for the last 3 years, via my work in the media. Yet somehow, I’ve managed to meet the most inspiring people who think my work is inspiring (which I just can’t get over either).
Okay I’ll stop gushing – you get the jist. Lots of love, I was overwhelmed, everyone was awesome and we all got way too drunk.

Artemis Grill & Sky Bar
What a venue! Can’t really beat a 40th floor rooftop sky bar as an event location. A huge thank you to the team of Artemis Grill who helped me host such a wonderful evening – with incredible panoramic views of Marina Bay. The bar, circulating a 100 year old olive tree, is open 6 days a week and delivers a variety of expertly crafted G&T’s, classic and contemporary cocktails, drafted and bottled beers and premium wines.

Scott was a dream DJ to work with – I could be super hands off and trusted him to deliver the right vibes for the evening, as well as coordinate a live set with my harpist. All I had to do was “this is what I am thinking” and Scott took it from there. The Sunchasers unique style of laid back house grooves are truly “Algo Hermoso”. Top DJ.

How do I even begin thanking this angel? We met once prior to my launch party and having never seen her play live, I could tell she was a bundle of talent. Making the traditional harp look and sound ridiculously cool, Heloise can jam along to the DJ set, delivering an effortless live performance that blew myself and my guests away. Seriously – book her. You won’t regret it.
Sugar(ed)
I cannot rave enough about this brand and since finding them, I won’t go elsewhere for waxing / hair removal. Sugar(ed) is the first and only professional body-sugaring studio in Singapore that is dedicated to the all-natural hair removal technique of sugaring.
